Care Guide

Always follow the care label on your item first. This page covers general care by fabric and for jewelry. Each product page also lists that item's fabric and care when the maker provides it.

Knits, sweaters and cardigans

Wash cold on a gentle cycle, or hand wash chunky knits.
Do not wring. Press the water out or roll the piece in a towel.
Lay flat to dry. Hanging a wet knit stretches it out of shape.
Fold knits for storage instead of hanging them.

Hoodies, sweatshirts and fleece

Turn inside out and wash cold with similar colors.
Tumble dry low or air dry. High heat flattens fleece and can shrink cotton blends.
Do not iron printed or brushed surfaces.

Stretch fabrics: leggings, fitted tops and sets

Wash cold and skip fabric softener, which wears down stretch fibers.
Air dry or tumble on the lowest setting so the fabric keeps its shape.

Flannel shirts and shackets

Wash cold and tumble dry low.
Wash before the first wear. A little loose fiber comes off in the first cycle.

Velvet, glitter and sparkle knits

Hand wash cold or use a delicate cycle, inside out.
Lay flat to dry. Do not iron directly on the fabric.

Faux leather belts and bags

Wipe clean with a damp cloth and let air dry. Do not soak or machine wash.
Store away from direct heat and sunlight to prevent cracking.

Jewelry

Most of our jewelry is plated metal. Take it off before showering, swimming or working out.
Put perfume and lotion on first, then your jewelry.
Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wearing and store pieces separately so they do not scratch.
Plating can wear with heavy use over time. Gentle care keeps the finish looking new longer.

Pilling

Pilling comes from friction, and it happens to most knits and fleece over time. Wash inside out, skip the dryer when you can, and remove pills with a fabric shaver instead of scissors.
