1. Who we are
This website is operated by Fernwood House ("Fernwood House", "we", "us"). By using this site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order.

3. Products and descriptions
We work to describe products accurately, including fiber content, size and care. Colors can look different on different screens, and textile items can vary slightly. Some lifestyle photos are digitally styled from supplier photos. Colors and patterns are matched to the real product, and every listing includes unedited supplier photos.

4. Prices and payment
Prices are set in US dollars. Outside the US, prices are shown and charged in your local currency at current exchange rates. Prices can change without notice. We may cancel an order if a price or product was listed in error, and we'll refund any payment in full. Payment is processed securely at checkout; we don't store your full card details.

5. Orders
Placing an order is an offer to buy. We may accept or decline it, for example if an item is unavailable or we suspect fraud. You'll get an email confirmation when your order is placed and another when it ships.

6. Shipping
We ship to the United States and to most countries worldwide (not currently the United Kingdom). Delivery times are estimates. International orders may be charged import taxes, duties or carrier fees on delivery. See our Shipping Policy for details.

7. Returns and refunds
Returns and refunds are covered by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8. Your account
If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account.

9. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site, including attempting to access it without authorization, interfering with its operation, or using it for anything unlawful.

10. Intellectual property
All content on this site, including text, logos, graphics and images, belongs to Fernwood House or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission.

11. Third-party services
Our store runs on Shopify and uses third-party services for payments and shipping. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to how they handle your information.

12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Fernwood House isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or products. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.

13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after changes means you accept them.
